Suggested Questions

1.     What is the P.C. Fraud? How is it affecting the political environment?

Answer: The P.C. Fraud is the use of political correctness to gain a political advantage over ones political opponent. Political correctness is considered the use of any number of tactics such as positioning ones agenda to take advantage of race, sex, creed, or any number of inherent differences in people as opposed to the facts and common sense of an issue.

The effect on the political environment is an increase in concentration on political correctness and a decrease in the use of facts to make important decisions.

2.     How do you define “the P.C. Crowd?”

Answer: The P.C. Crowd consists of those that base their decisions on the grounds of emotion as opposed to seeking out the facts and exclusively using them to make a decision.

3.     Who is considered a member of the P.C. Crowd? Is it one specific political party or group?

Answer: The P.C. Crowd is made up of members from all across the political spectrum. As seen in The P.C. Fraud: Political Correctness in American Politics, a P.C.er lets their emotions lead them to their decision as opposed to objectively analyzing and arguing their position.

4.     In your book, you discuss a concept called, “The Politics of Pain.” Please explain this idea?

Answer: The “politics of pain” is a tactic used by the P.C. Crowd to vilify their opponents. In the “politics of pain” a P.C.er uses the plight of a person who has experienced a tragedy or a hardship and exploits it by using the emotional impact of the situation to gain political power.

An excellent example is the way the P.C. Crowd used the victims of Hurricane Katrina to attack their political enemies such as the Bush Administration. By playing on the fears and emotions of the victims they were able to convince some people that President Bush actually was responsible for the hurricane hitting New Orleans.

5.     What can be done to fix political correctness in the current political landscape?

Answer:  Facts are the most important weapon against the P.C. Crowd. This is the best way to counter the name-calling that often accompanies a P.C.ers argument. By using the facts instead of emotion the P.C.er is forced to argue based on the truth and is not able to manipulate their position by using subjective factors such as emotion.

6.     Give an example of the P.C. Crowd abusing its power and causing problems for the American people?

Answer: One example of the P.C. Crowd abusing its power is the way they bring emotion into the debate on illegal immigration. The facts show that there are a number of illegal immigrants crossing our border daily. However, the way the P.C. Crowd makes the emotional plea makes it seem that these people have a right to break our laws to seek a better life. This blurs the fact that these individuals are bilking the American taxpayers for their healthcare and abusing public services that are meant for citizens of this country.

Further, the emotional plea that often follows is that these illegal immigrants come to this country and are turned away because of a “mean” and “unfair” government policy that is never seen throughout the world. However, the facts show this not to be the case. Just look at the security on the southern Mexican border where illegal immigrants are sent back across the border immediately, often in an inhumane way.

Either way, nothing is gained though the emotional debate of the P.C. Crowd because they do not use facts, only feelings.

7.     In this election year how is the P.C. Fraud changing the political landscape? What candidates are most guilty of using political correctness to promote their campaign?

Answer: Political correctness is evident in all of the campaigns. However, the theme of “change” is the most egregious use of political correctness. “Change” allows the candidate to speak in platitudes instead of in facts and firm policy positions. By promising “change” and “a better America”  or “a new Camelot” the candidates from Hillary Clinton and Barrack Obama, to Mike Huckabee and John McCain relieve themselves of ever saying how they will accomplish this goal. They simply play to the emotional needs of the voters and gain their trust by telling them that they will take care of them if elected.

8.     How do labels that vilify political enemies of the P.C. Crowd play into the P.C. Crowd’s plan?

Answer: By using labels to brand their opponent the P.C. crowd creates a negative public image of their opponent which allows them to gain the trust of the voter.

A good example of this is how Senator Trent Lott was called a racist when he praised Strom Thurmond. This jump was made because in the 1960’s Thurmond was against the Equal Rights Amendment. However, what is never shown is that Senator Robert Byrd, the so-called “Democratic Conscience of the Senate” was a member of the KKK and was vehemently against the ERA. However, he is held up in P.C. circles, as an honorable and faithful public servant.

9.     What is your political and professional background? How do they go together?

Answer: I have been a student of politics all my life. With my background and undergraduate degree in Political Science I have studied politics from many different angles and seen it applied in many different ways.

As an entrepreneur and a small business owner I have practical experience in business. I also hold an MBA and have studied the application of business.

Combining these skills I have found it best to take a common sense approach to politics and treat governing as a business. In this way I look at the problems facing our society and find solutions that will solve them as opposed to just giving them lip service and throwing money at them. Hence the common sense versus the P.C. Crowd.

10.                         How does the quest for power play into the P.C. Crowd’s plan?

Answer: Power is the ultimate goal of the P.C.er. They seek to expand their own power through the use of the P.C. tools we have discussed. By growing government the P.C. Crowd builds their power because they will control the tax dollars that are paid into the government. This will allow for a vicious cycle of expanding government and power that will ultimately culminate in the P.C. Crowd controlling every aspect of our lives from how much we eat to how we spend our dollars.

As frightening as it sounds, the P.C. Crowd feels they can run your life better than you and they strive to have more and more power.

Please feel free to ask any and all questions. Brian looks forward to answering not only the questions of the interviewer but also welcomes questions from audience members and readers!

This topic will most certainly provide for a lively, open, and entertaining discussion.
